A foldable PP corrugated turnover box has two jobs: carry the product on the loaded leg and form a controlled unit on the empty return. The second job should be specified, not assumed from the word “foldable.”
Map the route before selecting details in PP hollow sheet: who opens and closes the box, how empty units are collected, and which surfaces support the loaded stack.
Describe Both Legs of the Return Loop
Send the following information so the loaded and empty configurations can be reviewed separately.
- Box size: outside size or inside usable size, plus drawing if available.
- Loaded leg: product weight, stacking arrangement, handling points and transport route.
- Empty leg: required folded size, return quantity per load and collection method.
- Operating sequence: who folds and reopens the box, plus lid, handle or closure requirements.
- Quantity: trial order quantity and expected repeat order quantity.
- Destination country: this helps us suggest carton, pallet and container packing options.
Verify the Fold and Reopening Sequence
A prototype review should show each fold, where panels overlap and how the box returns to its working shape. Check the sequence with the operator who will perform it; a compact empty pack is not useful if reopening interrupts the line-side task.
Separate Loaded Stacking from Empty Bundling
The loaded box needs a defined top-to-base interface and bottom support. The empty bundle needs its own restraint and pallet arrangement. Confirmed folded dimensions are required before return-volume comparisons can be calculated.
Check the Divider in Both Configurations
If a divider remains inside, verify whether it folds with the box or must be removed. Cell clearance, part contact and the operator's loading direction belong in the assembled-state review; loose divider parts also need a place on the empty return.
Close the Design with Review Checkpoints
Before a production quantity is approved, review the assembled sample, fold sequence, reopened shape, loaded stack interface and empty bundle. Destination and packing quantity can then be applied to the confirmed dimensions.
