For an initial review of a plastic divider system, prepare eight types of information: overall divider dimensions, clear cell size or layout, part dimensions and orientation, outer-container internal dimensions, loading and handling conditions, the required structure or assembly method, quantity, and destination.
A divider system is made to project dimensions. Two similar-looking layouts may use different clear cell sizes, divider heights, slot directions, assembly methods, or container-fit requirements. The product name alone is not enough for a reliable project review.
The 8 items to include in a divider system RFQ
1. Overall divider dimensions
Start with the length, width, and height of the complete divider system and include the measurement unit. If it will sit inside an existing box or tote, compare those measurements with the container’s usable internal space.
2. Clear cell size or rows × columns
Clear cell size is the usable opening after assembly. If that size has not been fixed, share the intended rows × columns layout and divider height.
3. Part dimensions, orientation, and unit weight
For the loaded part, note its maximum dimensions, loading orientation, and unit weight. Add stacking or total loaded-weight conditions when they matter to the application.
4. Outer box or tote internal dimensions
Do not use the container's outside dimensions here. Record the usable internal length, width, and height. Ribs, tapered walls, drains, or other internal features can reduce that space; mark them on a drawing or photo when relevant.
5. Loading and handling conditions
Explain how parts are loaded and removed, then note how the package will be handled, moved, stacked, or used at line side.
6. Required structure or assembly method
A product label does not explain the structure. Show how the divider should be assembled, installed, removed, and used inside the container. A marked drawing or photo is useful when the arrangement is difficult to describe.
7. Quantity and unit
Include both the quantity and its unit—for example, pieces, sets, or boxes.
8. Destination
Add the destination country and, when available, the city or region. The destination is needed for later commercial and delivery evaluation.
When a drawing or photo helps
A drawing, marked photo, or clear sketch is useful when the part geometry or loading direction is complex, when an existing divider is being replaced, or when the outer container has an unusual internal profile. Label each measurement reference clearly: part size, clear cell size, overall divider size, and container internal size are different values.
What the submitted information means
Once these details are available, the review can separate confirmed inputs from remaining questions and decide whether further drawings or clarification are needed. Complete information allows the evaluation to continue; it does not confirm fit, manufacturability, performance, price, or lead time.
