Where printed PP signs can be used
Printed signs can carry open-house information, shop promotions, garden-center messages, event directions and seasonal greetings. A directional sign needs a clear arrow and readable wording. A promotional sign may need a logo, an offer and one way to contact the business. Holiday artwork usually puts more emphasis on colour and a recognisable seasonal image.
Before choosing a shape, decide what someone should be able to read at a glance: the business name, an offer or a direction.
What is PP corrugated plastic?
PP corrugated plastic is a polypropylene sheet with two faces connected by internal ribs. Those ribs form channels through the sheet. You may also see the material described as PP hollow sheet or twin-wall polypropylene.

Prepare the artwork before printing
High-definition printing needs a suitable source file. A small image copied from a website may look acceptable on a phone but lose detail when enlarged for a sign. Share the original artwork where available and state the intended print size so the file can be reviewed.
Keep the main message short, with clear contrast between the text and background and space around important wording. Before approving the print file, check every phone number, web address, date and arrow direction.
If you need several designs, list the quantity for each one. Also state whether you want printing on one side or both sides. Before approving the artwork, confirm the wording, layout, dimensions and any proposed cutting or mounting details in the project proof.
Confirm installation and use conditions
A sign placed in a lawn has different mounting requirements from a panel fixed to a fence or displayed indoors. Tell us where the sign will go, how you plan to support it and how long you expect to use it.
For stake-mounted signs, the mounting arrangement and sheet channel direction need to be checked together. If you require stakes or other fittings, include them in the enquiry; do not assume that hardware is included in a panel quotation.
For outdoor use, we need to review the sheet, printing configuration and installation against the intended conditions and period of use. The seasonal artwork shown here does not confirm a weather rating or guarantee an outdoor service life.
What to include in a quotation request
- Finished width and height, with units.
- Total quantity and quantity per artwork version.
- Intended application and installation location.
- Artwork files or a description of the required message.
- Requested print sides, shape and mounting arrangement.
- Any required fittings and packing instructions.
- Delivery destination and required arrival date.
For seasonal orders, give the required arrival date as well as any preferred dispatch date. We can then check production and transport timing before confirming a schedule.
