Corrugated plastic sheet has two flat outer surfaces joined by parallel internal ribs, forming hollow channels called flutes. The PP hollow sheet discussed here is made from polypropylene and can be cut, creased or assembled into packaging components.
Buyers also use terms such as PP fluted sheet and twin-wall polypropylene sheet. Coroplast, Correx and Corflute are brand names you may encounter; confirm the material and specification rather than treating every name as an identical product.
Where is PP corrugated sheet used?
Packaging applications include divider systems, layer pads, protective panels and converted boxes. The required sheet specification depends on the finished component, the product it protects and how it will be handled.
A flat sheet specification does not establish the load capacity of an assembled box or divider. Finished dimensions, joints, supports, stacking and handling conditions must be assessed for the application.
Which specifications should buyers compare?
- Thickness and sheet weight: record both when comparing options. Thickness alone does not describe the complete construction or establish stiffness under your working conditions.

- Colour and printing: specify the required colour, artwork and printing process. Confirm any surface treatment with the supplier and check a sample using the intended process.
- Use conditions: describe indoor or outdoor exposure, moisture, cleaning, temperature and any special requirements. Confirm the proposed material and any supporting test evidence for those conditions.

What should be checked before a bulk order?
Check a sample in the intended layout. For converted packaging, use representative products and review fit, contact points, assembly, lifting and stacking under the proposed conditions. For printed sheets, check the printing result as well as the sheet dimensions.
Agree on acceptance criteria before ordering. UV resistance, anti-static performance, chemical compatibility, reuse life and load limits require confirmation for the supplied specification; they should not be assumed from the term “corrugated plastic”.
